Hirshhorn 'Bubble' would be a money-loser, report says

The Hirshhorn Museum's proposed Seasonal Inflatable Structure, also known as "the Bubble," announced in 2009 and intended as an architecturally and culturally transformative space on the Mall, would lose money in each of three scenarios examined if the project were to move forward, according to a project assessment done by the Smithsonian.
